I was born in Bolsward, in the north part Friesland, in the Netherlands.
My parents originate both from the island of Texel, I Free  up there. 
Our Son Fabian and his Eifel and Son Adriaan now lives in Taiwan, Changhua. He surprised me by organizing an exibition in Sokosocafe Coffee shop, when we visited Taiwan in october 2025. 

When I was 7 years old, our family returned to Texel, and I grew up there. Since 1983 I live in the beautiful city of Delft.

I have been drawing and painting all my life. I feel free to work with pencil and brush.

Fear of a bad result is something I don't know. My motto is: just do it, put your brush on the paper and start. And learn by doing. Spent relaxing and mindful time on your hobby and enjoy creating beautyful things in your personal and unique way. 
I just continued painting until it was much more then just a hobby, but kept this unspoiled attitude, which also children have, but sadly often loose. 

Drawing and painting, I just did it. 
Many afternoons we sat painting and DYI ar our dining room table with our creative family.  I watched the art my elder sisters and brothers and parents made, our parents stimulated our creativity. 

I mainly paint with watercolor paint. It flows beautyfully and lively, I can work quickly and it is easy to carry for painting outside.

Drawing and painting landscape and urban things " en plein air" is a good exercise. I regularly participate with"Urban Sketching" activities, to also meet people.
