My name is Rieke Pronk-Bakker. 

I was born in Bolsward, my parents are from the island of Texel 

When I was 7 years old, our family returned to Texel, and I grew up there. Since 1983 I live in the beautiful city of Delft.

I've been drawing and painting all my life. Because I feel free to work with pencil and brush.

Fear of a bad result is something I don't know.
My motto is as my maternal grandmother said: "the result will be as it will be"

Drawing? You just did it. Many afternoons we sat around the dining room table with our creative family, and I watched the art my elder sisters and brothers and parents made. 

I mainly paint with watercolor paint, quite smoothly, and also like to work outside.

Drawing landscape is a good exercise,   I regularly participate with"Urban Sketching" activities.
